Welcome to the WTM International website.

We make this Privacy Notice public to ensure transparency in the processing of personal data collected through our websites, landing pages, events, blog, and other communication channels, such as social media.

We offer services and solutions related to import and export of services, handling the complete management of Cross Border Payments, Compliance, Pricing, Negotiation, and International Taxation, simplifying and consolidating the export and import of services and software, and facilitating tax-related transactions.

In fulfilling this mission, we understand how important your privacy is, and therefore we handle your personal data with great responsibility.

This Privacy Notice aims to inform, in accordance with data protection laws, how personal data of visitors to our websites, landing pages, blog, and other outreach tools are processed, avoiding any loss, alteration, theft, or any use not in accordance with this Notice.

1. Your Rights

Data Subject Rights under the GDPR. Regarding your personal data, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Confirm whether your personal data is being processed and access that data.
  • Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data under the conditions established by law.
  • Right to Restriction of Processing: Limit processing in situations such as when you contest data accuracy or object to its use.
  • Right to Object: Object, based on your particular situation, to processing for reasons including profiling.
  • Rights in Relation to Automated Decision-Making and Profiling: Not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects or significantly affects you.
  • Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and transmit it to another controller.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Revoke consent at any time, in accordance with legal provisions.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: File a complaint with a data protection authority if you believe your data is being misused.

Principles for the Processing of Personal Data. We additionally ensure that the processing of your personal data will observe the following principles:

  • Lawfulness, Fairness, and Transparency: Data must be processed legally, fairly, and transparently.
  • Purpose Limitation: Collected for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes.
  • Data Minimization: Collected data must be adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary.
  • Accuracy: Data must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • Storage Limitation: Data should be retained only for the period necessary for its purpose.
  • Integrity and Confidentiality: Data must be protected from unauthorized or unlawful processing and accidental loss.
  • Accountability: The controller must be able to demonstrate compliance with all principles.

2. What Data We Collect and Why

All personal data collected or provided through our websites, landing pages, registration pages, blog, and related WTM International pages will be processed in accordance with data protection laws and this Privacy Notice, and will be kept confidential and used only for the purposes described here.

Personal Data. WTM International may process:

  • Contact information, such as full name, email address, and phone number;
  • Professional information, such as job title, name of the company with which the Data Subject works or maintains a professional relationship, company’s CNPJ and legal name, website, industry sector, and the company’s main IT challenge;
  • Access information, such as browsing history, content interactions, and page views;
  • Email interaction information, such as date and time of email openings, click-through rates, and interactions with inbox content;
  • Navigation and device information, such as IP address, access dates and times, device details, and cookie data.

Categories of Data Subjects. We process Personal Data of certain categories of individuals – Data Subjects. This means that you (“Data Subject”) may fall into one or more of the following categories, which we classify as: (a) Visitors, (b) WTM International Leads (“Leads”), and (c) Users.

  • Visitors are Data Subjects who visit or access WTM International’s websites or pages;
  • WTM International Leads are potential clients of WTM International, meaning, Data Subjects who, representing a company, either (i) have interacted or currently interact with WTM International’s content and materials, or otherwise agreed to receive our content— for example by downloading an ebook, subscribing to a newsletter, or through other situations involving the promotion and marketing of our Services; or (ii) have had their Personal Data shared with WTM International through Partners, such as through co-marketing content initiatives, participation as speakers at events, or event sponsorships;
  • Users are Data Subjects who hold access credentials to one or more of WTM International’s platforms—such as Kombinations or Importax. Information on how the personal data of these Users is processed, as well as relevant details to ensure transparency (including how Users may exercise their rights), is provided in the respective Platform Privacy Notices.

2.1 WTM Leads

Purpose. WTM International collects and processes Personal Data when the Data Subject contacts us or provides their information via email, web form, instant message, phone call, or through interactions with post content, as well as through other channels made available by us. This processing includes purposes such as enabling a response to your request, sending email communications we believe may be useful to you, promoting our Services, and, if you express interest, selling our Services—meaning, contacting you to present a commercial proposal.

WTM International may also receive personal data of WTM International Leads through Partners, such as in the case of content production involving co-marketing strategies, event sponsorships, and client referrals. In such cases, WTM will require the Partner to inform data subjects of this data sharing in their own privacy notices, and in our first contact we will promptly provide access to our Privacy Notice, always ensuring your right to opt out of future communications at any time.

When you subscribe to our newsletters or sign up through our landing pages and receive our emails, we always provide a way for you to unsubscribe—that is, to request an opt-out.

The data collected by WTM International may be shared with other Partner companies—in cases where the content or landing page was created in collaboration with a Partner or in the event of Partner-sponsored events—or with companies that may emerge and form a business group with WTM International, as well as advertisers, sponsors, and tools for marketing and performance analysis, always in accordance with this Privacy Notice. By submitting your data through our websites, you agree to this type of use.

2.2 Visitors 

Purpose. When accessing and browsing WTM International’s websites, we may collect and process certain personal data to enable your access to our websites and to improve our marketing strategies and the promotion of our Services, so that our communication through the websites and our interaction with you are continuously enhanced.

5. Children’s Data

By accepting the terms of this Privacy Notice, you declare, under penalty of law, that you are 16 years of age or older.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep different types of information for different periods of time, depending on how long we need to retain it in order to provide you with our products and services, to comply with our legal requirements and for safety and security reasons. For example:

  • We retain your contact information, such as your name and email address, for the duration of our interactions through email marketing or other channels. If there is no interaction—such as opening our emails—for a period exceeding 6 months, we will proceed with the deletion of your personal data.
  • If you communicate with us, such as through email, we will keep information about the communication and its content for up to 18 months, unless it is necessary for us to retain it for a longer period to comply with our legal obligations or to exercise or defend our legal rights.
  • We generally collect device information, location information, inferred identity information and log information using cookies. We keep cookies and information collected using cookies for up to 13 months

We may need to keep certain information longer than our policies specify in order to comply with legal requirements and for safety and security reasons. For example:

  • To comply with a law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. Including in order to adhere to a legally appropriate preservation request made by law enforcement. 
  • In connection with legal claims, litigation and regulatory matters. Including where it is reasonably necessary to retain information relating to your account in order to defend WTM International against legal claims.
